Consider squaring 122

Step 1:

Choose the last two digits of '122' and add it with the given number 122

=122 + 22

=144

Step 2:

Multiply 100 with the above result 144

= 144 x 100

= 14400

Step 3:

Now mulitply '22' with '22'

= 22 x 22

= 484

Step 4:

Now, add the values obtained from step 2 and step 3.

= 14400 + 484

= 14884

Result:

122^2 = 14884
