Formula:

r = (1 - p) u = rx f = u x p l = 1 - r(x + 1) m = r / p Where, u = Upper CDF l = Lower CDF f = Probability of Mass m = Mean p = Probability of Success x = Percentile x

A boy who is in a football team is playing a match, where the probability of success is 1 and the percentile is 24, find probability of mass, lower cdf, upper cdf and mean using the geometric distribution function.

Solution:

To find the probability of mass:
f = (1 - 1) 24 x 1 = 0

To find Lower CDF:
L = 1 – (1 – 1)24 + 1 = 1

To find Upper CDF:
U = (1 – 1)24 = 0

To find Mean:
M = (1 – 1) / 1 = 0
