Lateral Surface Area (LSA) of a Heptagonal Prism

The lateral surface area also termed as LSA is the area of the lateral part of the heptagonal prism. Calculating the LSA of the heptagonal prism involves only outside portion and not the area of the bases. Enter the value of the base edge and the height to find the lateral surface area of the heptagonal prism.

Formula:

 Lateral Surface Area of a Heptagonal Prism AL = 7 * a * h Where, AL=Lateral Surface Area a = Base edge h = Height

Example

If the base edge and height of the heptagonal prism is 15 m and 30 m

Lateral Surface Area (LSA) = 7 * 15 * 30
= 3150 m2
