Height of a Heptagonal Prism based on Edge

Height of the heptagonal prism can be calculated when the base edge and volume is known. It is calculated using the formula 4 * V * tan ( 180° / 7 ) / 7 * a2. Enter the base edge and volume into the calculator to find the height of the heptagonal prism. The height of the prism and the square faces of the prism are the same.

Formula:

h = 4 * V * tan ( 180° / 7 ) / 7 * a2 Where, h = Height a = Base Edge V = Volume

Example

If the edge and volume of the heptagonal prism are 3 m and 1 m3, then

Height = 4 * 1 * tan ( 180° / 7 ) / 7 * 32 = 0.03 m
