Sensible Heat Calculator

In Physics, Sensible heat is a type of energy released or absorbed in the atmosphere. The heat is related to changes in temperature of a gas or object with no change in phase. In Simple, When an object is heated, its temperature rises as heat is added. The increase in heat is called sensible heat. Given here is a sensible heat calculator to calculate for the heat released or absorbed by an object based on the mass of the body, specific heat capacity and change in temperature.

Formula:

Q = M × C × T Where, Q = Sensible Heat M = Mass of the Body C = Specific Heat Capacity T = Change of the Temperature

Example:

Calculate the sensible heat having a mass of the body as 7kg, Specific heat capacity of 25 and Change in temperature of 15.

Solution:

Q = 7 x 25 x 15
= 2625 J
