Hydraulic Cylinder Pull Force Calculator

Hydraulic cylinders are mechanical equipment to produce linear motion using the hydraulic fluid. The energy that pulls an object towards a surface or another object is called as the pull force. Calculate the pull force of the hydraulic cylinder based on the pressure in cylinder, diameter of the rod and the piston.

Formula:

F = (π (d22 - d12) / 4) * P1 Where, F = Rod Pull Force d1 = Rod Diameter d2 = Piston Diameter P1 = Pressure in Hydraulic Cylinder

The force produced on the rod side is the calculated pull force.
