Formula:

Diameter = √ ((576 × A) / (3.14 × V)) Where, A = Air Flow V = Air Flow Velocity

Example:

Calculate diameter of duct size for air flow of 8 CFM and air flow velocity of 15 FPM.

Solution:

Diameter of Air Duct Sizing =√ ((576 × 8) / (3.14 × 15)) = 9.8911 inch.
