Formula:

Vickers Hardness Number HV = 1.854 * (f / d2) Where, HV = Vickers Hardness f = Load d = Arithmetic Mean

The Vickers Pyramid Number is also called as diamond pyramid hardness(DPH).

Vickers Pyramid Number

If the load of the material is 40 and average length of diagonal is 1, then
HF = 1.854 * 40 / (1*1)
= 74.16
