Orbital Radius Calculator

The curved path of an object around a point is called as the orbit. A good example is the orbit of the planets in space. Usually all planets will have an elliptical orbit. This calculator is used to find the radius of any orbit with orbit period and the mass of the planet.

Formula:

R = 3√((T2GM) / (4π2)) Where, R = Satellite Mean Orbital Radius T = Satellite Orbit Period M = Planet Mass G = Universal Gravitational Constant = 6.6726 x 10-11N-m2/kg2

Example

Orbital Radius

A planet of mass 5000 kg with the orbital period of 15000 swill have the orbit radius,
Orbit Radius = 3√((50002 * 6.6726 x 10^-11 * 15000) / (4π2))
Orbit Radius = 0.858 m
