Formula:

Mass(Kg) = GPE (J)/ (Gravitational Acceleration x Height (m)) Where, Gravitational Acceleration = 9.8 m/s2

Example

An object is moving at a height of 10 m and if its GPE is 20 Joules, then
Mass = 20/(9.8 × 10)
       =20/98
       =0.2041Kg

There is a direct relation between gravitational potential energy and the mass of an object. More massive objects have greater gravitational potential energy.
