Mass Flow Rate(kg/hour) = (p × v × a)×3600
**Where,**
p = Density of the Flowing Liquid or Gas(kg/m^{3})
v = Flow Speed(m/s)
a = Flow Area(m^{2})
### Example:

Calculate the flow rate of mass of a substance for the density of flowing liquid as 8 kg/m^{3}, speed of flow as 15 m/s and area of flow as 20 m^{2}.

Mass Flow Rate = p×v×a

= (8 x 15 x 20)×3600

= 8640000 kg/hr
