How to Find Angular and Linear Velocity - Tutorial

How to Find Angular and Linear Velocity - Tutorial, Formula, Example

Example 1:

Find the angular velocity when distance covered by the object is 60 km and Angle is 360 degree?

Given,

θ=360, t=60 km

Solution:
Angular Velocity (ω) =θ/t
Where

θ=Angle the object traversed x=Distance covered

Substitute the given values in the formula, = 360/60 = 6 radian/sec

Example 2:

Find the linear velocity when distance covered by the object is 60 km and time taken is 20 hours?

Given,

x=60, t=20

Solution:
Linear Velocity(v) =x/t
Where

x=Distance covered t=Time taken

Substitute the given values in the formula, = 60/20 = 3 km/hr
