Formula:

PSI = (f x 8 x n x l) / πr4 Where, f = Flow Rate n = Fluid Viscosity l = Length of the Pipe r = Radius of Pipe

Example:

A 5m pipe length and radius of 2m and the liquid flows at a viscosity of 15 and flow rate 10.

Solution:

PSI = (f x 8 x n x l) / πr4
= (10 x 8 x 15 x 5) / (3.14 x 24)
= 119.4268 lb/in2
