Acceleration Calculator

The term acceleration is used in physics. Acceleration is defined as the rate of change of velocity of an object with respect to time. The SI unit for acceleration is metre per second squared (m/s2), as the velocity in metres per second changes by the acceleration value, every second. Given here is an online Acceleration Calculator that allows you to calculate the acceleration of an object with respect to its initial velocity, final velocity and time.

Formula:

Acceleration = ( Final velocity - Initial velocity) / Time

Example

An object has an initial and final velocity as 15 m/s and 12 m/s and time as 10 s.
Acceleration = ( 15 - 12) / 10
=-0.3 m/s2.
