Formula:

p = (m / 150) × a Where, p = Pediatric Dose m = Childs Age In Months a = Adult Dose

Example:

A child of age 3 years is to be provided with a medication of adult dose 250mg. Find the pediatric dose.

Solution:

Convert the child's age into months = 3 x 12 = 36 months
Pediatric Dose = (36 / 150) x 250
= 60mg
