eGFR Calculator

GFR (Glomerular Filtration Rate) is a test used to examine the performance of the kidneys by estimating the amount of blood passing through the glomeruli per minute. The level of creatinine is used in the formula to find how well kidneys does function, known as the eGFR. The below section of this page provides you the online eGFR calculator, in which the GFR by MDRD is estimated based on the inputs such as gender, skin race of the patient, creatinine level, and age.

Formula:

g = 186 × s-1.154 × a-0.203 [For Male and Non Black Patient ] g = 186 × s-1.154 × a-0.203 × f [For female and Black Patient ] Where, g = GFR by MDRD f = 0.742 (if Female Patient) f = 1.210 (if Patient is black ) s = Creatinine a = Age

Example

Find the GFR, of a men whose age is 21 with a creatine level of 2 mg/dL and whose skin race is black

g = 186 × (2)-1.154 × 21-0.203 × 1.210
g = 186 × 0.4493 × 0.539 × 1.210
g = 54.5129
