Formula:

T = W + (M × 2) Where, T = Total Coded Size W = Widest Measurement of Lesion M = Margin

Example:

Calculate the excision of skin lesion with the widest measurement of lesion of 10 cm and margin of 5 cm.

Solution:

Coding excision of lesions = 10 + ( 5 × 2 )
= 10 + 10
= 20 cm
