Formula:

Cholesterol Ratio = (h + l + (r / 5)) / h Where, h = High-Density Lipoprotein (HDL) l = Low-Density Lipoprotein (HDL) r = Triglyceride

Example:

A person has HDL as 23 mg/dl, LDL as 25 mg/dl and Triglyceride as 22 mg/dl.

Solution:

Cholesterol Ratio = (23 + 25+ (22 / 5)) / 23
