You have to first find the semi-perimeter of the triangle with three sides and then area can be calculated based on the semi-perimeter of the triangle. Area of a Triangle Calculation



S = (a+b+c)/2 Area = √(S x (S - a) x (S - b) x (S - c)) Where, a = Side A b = Side B c = Side C S = Area of Triangle


Find the area of a triangle using Heron's formula given : Side A = 5cm, Side B = 8cm, Side C = 10 cm


S = (a+b+c)/2
= (5+8+10) / 2
= 11.5 cm

Area = √(S x (S - a) x (S - b) x (S - c))
= √(11.5 x (11.5 - 5) x (11.5 - 8) x (11.5 - 10))
= 19.81 cm2
