Scaling Factor :

Scaling factor is the measurement of ratio of any two corresponding sides of the similar geometric figures.


Example :

In the below image, lets take the corresponding sides of two quadrilateral, AD and EH. Its ratio is 4:8. Here the ratio of EH is twice the ratio of AD So the scalar factor of the quadrilateral is 1:2
