What is resistance - Definition and Meaning

Resistance :

Resistance is the degree of opposition to which a device offers to the flow of electric current. The standard unit of resistance is the ohm. Ohm's law resistance is equal to the voltage divided by the current.


Formula :

R = V / I

Example :

For example, for V = 9 volts and I = 36 mA, R = 9 / 0.036 = 250 ohms
