Kinetic friction is the force acting between two relatively moving objects that rub each other. It is also called as dynamic friction. Coefficient of kinetic friction is denoted by the symbol μk. It is usually smaller than that of static friction. The force exerted by the kinetic friction is μk times than that of the normal force of the object. It is expressed in Newtons (N).
