What is coprime - Definition and Meaning
Coprime :
Coprime is also called as relatively prime or mutually prime. The factors of two numbers are called co-primes when they have only one as their common factor.
Example :
Lets take the factors of two number, 3 and 8
3 = 1, 3
8 = 1, 2, 4, 8
Here both integers have only one as their common factor, so 3 and 8 are co-primes.
Lets us consider the factors for other two number, 4 and 8
4 = 1, 2 , 4
8 = 1, 2, 4, 8
Here 4 and 8 have 1, 2 and 4 as their common factor. So 4 and 8 are not co-primes.
