What is cgpa - Definition and Meaning
CGPA :
CGPA is defined as Cumulative Grade Points Average. CGPA is the measurement of average grade points obtained by a student in all the semesters excluding additional 6th subject as per Scheme of Studies.
Formula :
CGPA = Σ ( Total Grades ) / Total Credits
Total Grades = Σ ( Grade * Credits )
Example :
Consider grade points for 5 subjects.
Maths - 5
Science - 3
English - 6
Economics - 5
Computer science - 5
To get total grades, add all the points.
Total grades = 4 + 3 + 6 + 5 + 7 = 25
Divide the grades points by 5 (as we have assumed marks for 5 subjects).
CGPA = 25 / 5 = 5
CGPA = 5
