Domination chess problems are part of mathematical chess problems. Domination problem are also called by the name "covering". In these problems the chess pieces of the same kind should be placed in such a way that all free spaces in the board are attacked by at least one piece.

The minimal number of each kind of chess piece required for dominating or covering is as follows,

- Kings - 9,
- Queens - 5,
- Rooks - 8,
- Bishops - 8,
