Definition:

In mathematics, polite number is a positive integer that can be written as the sum of two or more consecutive non-negative integers at least one way.

Example:

Find 15 and 16 are polite or not? and give the series of these number.

To Find,

15 is polite or not

Solution:

If 15 is polite then it has the sum of two or more consecutive numbers. We know , 1+2+3+4+5 = 15
4+5+6 = 15
7+8 = 15 So 15 has 3 sum of consecutive numbers. So, 15 is polite. For number 16. If 16 is polite then it has the sum of two or more consecutive numbers. But 16 has no sum of consecutive numbewrs, so 16 is impolite number.
