Formula:

b = p / ( (d / 10 ) + 1 ) Where, b = Best Nitrox Mix p = Partial Pressure in Oxygen d = Maximum Depth

The Nitrox best mix is the highest fraction of Oxygen (FO2) permissible in the gas mixture.

Example

Calculate the nitrox blending if there is 1.4 partial pressure of oxygen at 25 meter depth.

b = p / ( (d / 10 ) + 1 )
       = 1.4/ ( ( 25 / 10 ) + 1 )
Therefore, the value of b is 40%
