Doppler Effect Red Shift Wavelength Formula

A change in the frequency or wavelength of light waves as the source and the observer move towards or away from each other is called as Doppler Effect. When visible light is shifted towards the red end of the spectrum or low frequencies is called as the red shift of Doppler effect. Here is the Doppler Effect red shift wavelength formula which will guide you to calculate the red shift wavelength by dividing the (e x c) with ( c - v), where e is the emitted wavelength, c is the speed and v is the velocity.

Formula:

L = (E × C) / (C - V)

Where,

L = Observed Red-Shift Wavelength
E = Emitted Wavelength
C = Speed of Light From Source
V = Velocity Away from You
