Photosynthesis Formula

A process that occurs in all plants, bacteria, protistans that converts light from Sun into chemical energy is termed as photosynthesis. The light energy is used to produce sugar, this sugar is converted into ATP by cellular respiration process. This formula is the chemical equation of the overall photosynthesis process that occurs in all plants.

Chemical Equation for Photosynthesis

Formula:

CO2 + 2H2A + photons = [CH2O] + 2A + H2O

Carbon Dioxide + Electron Donor + Light Energy = Carbohydrate + Oxidized Electron Donor + Water

Plants are photoautotrophs, because they are capable to prepare their food from CO2 and water with the use of light energy.
