The birth rate is the number of live births taking place in a particular period (generally 1 year) in a specific area. Hospital birth rate formula helps you to calculate the percent of births based on the number of births registered in the hospital(r) and expected number of live births(e). Hospital birth rate formula is defined by dividing the number of births registered in the hospital by expected number of live births, then multiply the obtained result with 100 to get the resultant value.

B = (R / E) × 100

E = Expected number of live births
B = Birth rate
