HDL Cholesterol Formula

The below formula is used to find the amount of high density lipoprotein cholesterol in your body. The cholesterol level in blood plays a major role in your heart disease risk. Three types of cholesterol important to take care to control your heart disease risk are HDL, LDL and triglycerides.

Formula:

HDL = Total Cholesterol - Low Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol - ( Triglycerides / 5 )
Non HDL = Total Cholesterol - HDL


Where,

HDL = High Density Lipoprotein
