Deceleration Equation

The negative acceleration formula is used to calculate the decrease of speed in a given body of motion, where 's' is the distance traveled by the moving body during the decrease of velocity or deceleration, 'u' and 'v' is the initial and final velocity. By deceleration equation, negative acceleration is calculated by finding the difference between the squared final value and the squared initial velocity. The resultant value is divided by the 2 times of the distance.

Negative Acceleration Formula

Formula:

Deceleration = v2 - u2 / 2s

Where,

v = The Final Velocity
u = The Initial Velocity
s = Distance
