Cumulative Incidence Formula

In epidemiology, the cumulative incidence is the probability of the occurrence of a particular disease over a period of time. This page shows the cumulative incidence formula to calculate the incidence proportion for the given incident rate over a duration. This incidence proportion formula is used to find the incidence which is calculated using a particular period during which all of the individuals in the population are considered to be at risk for the outcome.

Incidence Proportion Formula

Formula:

Cumulative Incidence = 1 - e(-IR x D)

Where,

IR = Incident Rate
D = Duration
e = 2.7182818284590452

The above cumulative incidence formula will be a very useful one for the medical governmental and non-governmental organizations to do the measure of disease frequency for a particular disease.
