The volume of the component of the composite materials can be calculated using the aggregates formula. It is used in construction. The formula is derived for both metric and imperial units. In metric units, the product of the depth, width and length is the volume of the aggregates.
In imperial units, depth and width are multiplied by 2.54, length is multiplied by 30.48. It is then divided by 10000. The product of all these modified depth, length and width are divided by 100, which is the aggregates volume.
