Transport Allowance (TPTA) in 7th Pay Commission

Transport Allowance for the central government employees were reckoned in their salary on the basis of distance between the residing place and place of duty. TPTA varies for high class cities and other places. It is completely dependent on Dearness Allowance. Table provided here shows the travelling allowance for the existing 6th CPC and new devised seventh pay commission (7th CPC) for PB-I, PB-2, PB-3, PB-4, HAG, liAG+ and Apex pay bands.

As per the 6th pay commission (CPC), the travelling allowance (TPTA) for officers earning a gross pay salary of 10000 and higher is Rs. 7000 + DA. Differently abled employees will get double the transport allowance of normal employees.
