**Fixed at both ends:**
d = (w × L^{3}) / (192 × E × I)

w = Load on Beam

E = Modulus of Elasticity of the Iron(Steel)
I = Moment of Inertia of the 'L' Cross Section of Beam
### Example:

Calculate angle iron deflection of a beam fixed at both the ends with modulus of elasticity as 25 lb/inch^{2} for a load of 500 lb, length of 12 inch and moment of inertia of the L cross section of beam as 18 inch^{4}.

Deflection for Center Load Beam Type = (500 × 12^{3}) / (192 × 25 × 18)

= 40 inch
