### Example:

What is the electricity cost for a month, day and year for a house which uses Air Conditioner. The power consumed by AC is 1000 watts. The electricity cost per unit is 1\$/kwh and it has been in use for 5 hours for a single day.

#### Solution:

Energy Consumed per Day = (1000 × 5) / 1000
= 5 kWh/day
Energy Consumed per Month = ((1000 × 5) / 1000) × 30
= 150 kWh/month
Energy Consumed per Year = ((1000 × 5) / 1000) × 365
= 1825 kWh/year
Electricity Cost per Day = ((1000 × 5) / 1000) × 1
= 5 \$
Electricity Cost per Month =(((1000 × 5) / 1000) × 30) × 1
= 150 \$
