Formula:

Volume= Width × Height × Depth Cement = Volume × 320 Sharp Sand= Volume × 600 Gravel = Volume× 1200 Water = Volume × 176

Example:

Calculate volume, cement, sharp sand, gravel and water of the on site concrete mix for length of 5 cm, width of 4 cm and depth of 6 cm.

Solution:

Volume = 5 x 4 x 6
= 120 cm3
Cement = 120 x 320
= 0.0384 kgs
Sharp Sand = 120 x 600
= 0.072 kgs
Gravel = 120 x 1200
= 0.144 kgs
Water = 120 x 176
= 0.0211 litre
