Formula:

P = (L / D) C = T × P Where, P = Petrol Consumption Per km D = Distance(km) L = Petrol Consumption T = Petrol Price / Litre C = Petrol Cost per km

Example:

Calculate the petrol consumption and cost per km for a marketing executive who travels 100 km a day by filling 2 litres of petrol where the petrol cost is Rs.65 per litre.

Solution:

P = (2 / 100)
= 0.02 L
C = 65 × 0.02
= 1.3 ₹ per km
