Volume of Regular Pyramid Calculator with Base Area

A regular pyramid is named after its base. Its base is a regular polygon and its lateral edges are all equal in length. The base can be any polygon such as a square, rectangle, triangle, etc. The apex of the pyramid is not necessarily to get right above the center of the base. It can be found by knowing the semi-perimeter, radius and height of the pyramid. Online geometry calculator which is used to find the volume of regular pyramid with base area.

Formula:

SB = Semiperimeter x Radius V = (1/3) SB x Height Where, V = Volume of Regular Pyramid SB = Area of Base

Example:

A pyramid with radius 5 cm, height 8 cm and its semiperimeter value is 10 cm. What is its volume?

Solution:

SB = Semiperimeter x Radius
= 10 x 5
= 50 cm2
V = (1/3) SB x Height
= (1/3) 50 x 8
= 133.33 cm3
