Area of Trapezium Calculator

A trapezium is a quadrilateral, having one pair of parallel opposite sides. To find the area of trapezium, divide it into a rectangle and two triangles. By adding the area of the triangle and rectangle, we can find the area of the trapezium. By formula, it is found by diving the sum of the lengths of the parallel sides by two and multiplying it with height, the perpendicular distance between these sides. Use this Trapezoid Area Calculator to find the area of trapezium.

Formula:

Trapezoid Area = (1 / 2) × (s1+s2) × d Where, s1 =Base A s2 = Base B d = Height

Example:

Find the Area of Trapezium having 5cm, 7cm as base and 5 cm as height ?

Solution:

Trapezoid Area = (1 / 2) × (s1 + s2) × d
= (1 / 2) × (5 + 7) × 5
= 30 cm2
