Pediatric Urine Output Calculation
The expected urine output for an adult is > 0.5mL/kg/hour, so an average adult of 70kg would be expected to produce 35-40ml/hour of urine.
For children, the expected urine output is closer to 1ml/kg/hour. The normal urine output for adults is 1 ml/min, regardless of weight. That translates to 60 ml/hr.
